We use encryption, secure account practices, and controlled sharing to help protect your information while giving you control over what you store, keep private and share.

Security at a Glance

  • Encrypted Information: Certain sensitive information is encrypted at rest. Encryption also helps protect information while it is transmitted.
  • Account Verification: A one-time email code helps verify your identity when you create your DoveLock account.
  • Password-Protected Access: Your password helps protect access to your DoveLock account.
  • Optional Multi-Factor Authentication: You can enable an additional layer of account protection in your account settings.
  • Controlled Sharing: You choose what information to share and which Trusted Keepers can access selected information.

Your Information, Your Control

DoveLock is designed to help you decide:

  • What information to store
  • What wishes and instructions to record
  • What information to keep private
  • What information to share
  • Which Trusted Keepers may receive access

You can update your information and sharing preferences as your life changes.

Inviting a Trusted Keeper does not automatically give that person access to all of your information. Access depends on the sharing settings and instructions established in your account, along with any verification process that applies.

DoveLock does not sell your personal information. We use information as needed to provide and support the service, and we work with trusted providers to help operate DoveLock.

You play an important role in protecting your DoveLock account. We recommend that you:

  • Use a strong, unique password
  • Keep your password private
  • Enable multi-factor authentication in your account settings
  • Keep your email account secure
  • Review your Trusted Keeper and sharing settings regularly
  • Update your information when your circumstances change
